Obituary for Robert G. Woodard

Robert G. Woodard, 84, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Baystate Medical Ctr., Springfield, MA. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Marlene (Glor) Woodard. Born July 13, 1937 in Wellsville, NY to the late Herbert and Vernice (Brackenberry) Woodard. He had resided in Enfield for 44 years and in Buffalo, NY before that. Robert served his country honorably with the U.S. Air Force from 1955 – 1958 and earned multiple awards. Prior to retiring he was employed with NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration for 39 years as a Meteorologist. Bob’s life revolved around his family and will live on known as a strong family man. He sought out an early retirement at the age of 55 to spend more time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, especially football. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, scuba diving and playing golf with his best friend, Bruce.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Rebecca Scibelli (Marco) of E. Longmeadow, MA and a son Glen Woodard of Enfield, his five beloved grandchildren Allison Lamica, Nicolo Scibelli, Cameron Scibelli, Robert Crowley, and Danielle Woodard, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Jack, Tom, Kay and Alan. Services for Robert are private. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
