Roma Jean (Cummings) Metivier, 94, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the Suffield House. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to the late Arthur Metivier. Roma was born on March 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Surprise) Cummings. She had resided for 70 years in Enfield, a resident of the Crescent Lake community and in Springfield, MA prior to that. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Her greatest joy was spending time with loved ones and friends. Roma was a long-time member of the Enfield Women’s Club and member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Enfield. She is survived by her loving children; Douglas Metivier (Lori) of Windsor Locks, Steven Metivier (Mary-Lynn) of Somers, and Karen Anderson (Greg) of East Longmeadow, MA, seven beloved grandchildren and a cherished great grandchild. A Memorial Service for Roma will be held at 1:00PM Saturday January 7th 2023 at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Enfield. There will be a short reception following the service at the church.
