ENFIELD - Ronald L. Lazure, 88, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace on Friday, June 14, 2019. He was born in Highgate, Vermont, the son of the late George and Hazel (Longman) Lazure. Ronald was a Enfield resident for over fifty years. He served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed by Bachman and Boyds Distribution as a truck driver. Ronald enjoyed playing cards, horse shoes, spending time with his family Nascar and the Red Sox. He was predeceased by his wife of fifty-one years, Sylvia (Swanson) Lazure in 2012. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mark Bergstrom of Belchertown, MA, a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Vesce of Enfield, a daughter, Diane Schook of Enfield, a son, Jeff Fushey of Enfield, a son and daughter-in-law, George and Gloria Lazure of Vernon, a daughter, Donna Lazure of Enfield, a son, Ronald “Butch” Lazure of Enfield, 14 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Edward and a daughter, Laurie Duclos Jaunary 2019. He is also survived by a son-in-law, Dave Duclos of Enfield. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road followed by burial with military honors in Hazardville Cemetery. Calling hours are prior to the funeral on Thursday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home.
