Obituary for Ronald D. Apt

Ronald D. Apt
Ron went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 15, 2023 with his beloved wife by his side after a long battle with Lewy Body/Vascular dementia. He was born on May 9, 1958 in Hartford, CT to Ronald K. Apt and the late Rita (Morin) Apt and grew up in East Windsor, resided in Hamden 4 ½ years and in Willington.
Ron expressed a genuine, pure love only God can give to anyone that knew him. Whether at work as a sub-contractor painter; showing pride in every detail or serving at his church with children’s activities or general maintenance. He always lent a helping hand. His abundant love and joy came out in his creative expression through his drawings, poetry or beautiful walking sticks. He found peace in God’s nature whether sitting by the river with his fishing pole, taking long rides on his motorcycle or strolls in the woods with his beloved dog, Hunter who will miss him dearly. He truly lived out this verse Phillipians 2:3-4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value other’s above yourselves, not looking to you own interests, but each of you to the interests of others.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Deborah (Jaquith) Apt, his father Ronald K. Apt and wife Paula of Golden Valley, AZ, his three children Ronald Apt and wife Danielle of Savannah, GA, Jennifer Bendel of Mt. Holly, NC, Lauren Bland of Enfield, his beloved granddaughter Camber Lyn Apt of Castle Rock, Co. He is also survived by his siblings Yvonne Domina of Suffield, John Apt. (Brenda) of Manchester, Scott Shaw (Beth) of Ellington, his father and mother-in-law William & Kay Jaquith of Queensbury, NY, his sister and brother-in-law Julie and Harry Amara, along with several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on July 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at One Church, 855 Chapel Rd. South Windsor, CT. Floral donations may be sent to the church.
