Obituary for Rose M. Morin (Morin)

Rose M. Morin, 90, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 31st, at Parkway Pavilion, Enfield. Rose was born in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late John and Eglantine (Riopel) Morin. She grew up in Chicopee, MA, and has lived in Enfield, CT, for over 50 years. Rose graduated from the former Holy Name High School, and was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann at the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee, MA. She was a devout Catholic, who lived her faith, attending mass daily since she was a teenager. Rose worked as Accounts Payable Coordinator for Eastco Hand Tools, formerly Moore Drop Forge, for over 36 years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, and most especially spending time with her beloved family and many cherished friends; particularly the Sunday morning “Breakfast Club” that met after mass every week. She leaves her niece Michelle DeFranzo and her husband Robert of East Granby, CT, and their three children, Ryan, Hannah and Nicholas, of whom she adored and was incredibly proud of. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters Justine Wajda and Emma Morin. Those who were privileged to have Rose in their lives knew she was a force of nature who lit up every room she entered, a true “fashionista” with a pocketbook and heels to match every outfit. But most of all, Rose will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, who brought joy into the lives of all who encountered her. Her family would like to thank Parkway Pavilion and Beacon Hospice for the stellar care they gave to Rose in her last weeks.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Thursday November 9th at 11:00am, with visitation beginning at 10:00am, at Saint Patrick’s Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield, CT.
