Rosemary (Hansen) Tweeddale, 98, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 25, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late George Tweeddale, Sr. Born on February 25, 1924 in Waterbury, CT to the late Einer and Elizabeth (Mahoney) Hansen. Rosemary had resided in Enfield for over 70 years. She retired from Point Machine Co. after several years of service. Rosemary was a very active member of the Enfield Senior Ctr., where she taught line dancing for many years and loved playing cards with her friends there.
Rosemary is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Cliff and Susan Tweeddale of Enfield, a daughter-in-law Lorraine Tweeddale of Enfield, four beloved grandchildren and five cherished great grandchildren, and special friend Ida Packard. She is also survived by a brother Robert Hansen of Daytona Beach, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was also predeceased by a son George Tweeddale, Jr., two brothers Vincent and Harry Hansen and a sister Dorothy Dubiel.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
