Obituary for Ryan Marshall Smith
Ryan Marshall Smith, 24, of Enfield passed away on June 24, 2022. He was born on May 25, 1998 to William and EvaMarie Smith of Enfield. Ryan graduated from Enrico Fermi High School and attended some college at Norwich University, while at Norwich he enlisted into the Connecticut Army National Guard as an infantryman. He took great pride in his military service. He especially enjoyed his interactions with the K-9 units while on deployment in Africa.
Ryan was always on the move. His hobbies included driving his Subaru WRX, shooting, hunting, fishing, golf, weight lifting and driving to Vermont to snowboard, pick apples and visit with alpacas. Most of all Ryan loved and cherished his family and friends. He had a place in his heart for everyone that was a part of his life.
In his passing, Ryan leaves behind his parents, William and EvaMarie Smith of Enfield, his brother and sister-in-law Joshua and Bryanna Olden and nephews, Cameryn and Elijah Olden of Tolland, his paternal grandparents John and Jean Sharon of Enfield and Sue Smith of Longmeadow, MA, a dear friend Jenna Jablonski of Somers, his beloved dogs Cece and Maggie, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ryan’s family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Thursday June 30, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ryan on Friday July 1, 2022 at 10:30 am in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield. Burial will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Enfield Police Department, K-9 Unit 293 Elm St. Enfield, CT 06082.
