Obituary for Sandra "Sandy" Moschetti (Roy)

Sandra Moschetti, 83, passed away on Friday, April 28th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Providence, RI to the late Mildred Laframboise and Albert Roy. She moved to Enfield where she met and married the love of her life, Peter Moschetti, Sr. Sandy retired from Casual Corner in 2005 after 25 years of service. Sandy had extraordinary faith and was a long-time parishioner of St. Patrick’s Parish.
Sandy was a selfless person, always putting everyone’s feelings and needs before her own. She was a Eucharistic Minister, driving all over the Enfield area giving communion to those unable to physically go to church. After her retirement, she spent a good part of her time as a hospice volunteer, bringing comfort to those at the end of their lives and working at the food pantry and truck, serving food to the disadvantaged.
She opened her house and heart to so many people throughout her life, but her greatest love was her family. She was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sandra is survived by her brother, James Bourbon, her children, Peter Moschetti, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, John Moschetti and his wife, Jennifer, Michael Moschetti and his partner, Michele Liquori and Mary Moschetti; her grandchildren, Michael Moschetti, Kara Kamide and her husband, Tyler, Julia Murray, Christine Moschetti, Nick Moschetti and his fiancé, Emily, Tia Cardaropoli and her husband, Dave, Kayla Moschetti and her fiancé, Derek, Steven Palmer and his wife, Dana, Zachary Palmer and his wife, Taylor and her 13 great-grandchildren, Quinn, Hunter, Lilly, Parker, Aubree, Nico, Ivy, Benjamin, Makenna, Peyton, Hadley, Nolan and Ellie. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter and their daughter, Anne Marie Moschetti.
Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Residence for the great care and love she received there and all of her friends that took the time to visit when she needed it most.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Residence/Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
