Sandra R. Talbot, entered into Eternal Life, at the age of 76 on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT. She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Jean J. Talbot. Born on June 3, 1942 in Montreal, Canada, a daughter of the late Philip E. and Simone G. (LaForest) LaPointe. She had resided in East Haddam for the past 16 years, also in Bolton and Windsor before that. Prior to retiring in 1999 Sandra was employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 34 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, was active with her church (St. Bridget of Kildare), cherished her beloved cats, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Jean, she is also survived by her three children, Rebecca Talbot and her significant other Owen Polleys of Vernon, CT, John Talbot & wife Sara of East Granby, CT and Michelle Talbot & husband Richard Lombardi of Peterborough, NH, her beloved grandchildren, Eric and Alex DeGiacomo, Julie and Emily Talbot, and Marissa and Kyle Lombardi. As well as her siblings, Norma Shannon (John) of Feeding Hills, MA, Donald Lapointe (Betty predeceased) of West Haven, CT, Bob Lapointe (partner Joe) of Branford, CT, Leann Rick (Richard) of Manchester, CT, Anne Simlick (Henry predeceased), Dee Cekala, Walt LaPointe (Mary), Bernie LaPointe (Gina) all of Enfield, CT Marita Cunningham (Ed) of Somers, CT and Pam LaPointe of Suffield, CT, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Aime Molmans, her brothers Aime Molmans Jr., and Peter LaPointe.
Sandra’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra that will take place at St. Adalbert Church, (St. Raymond of Penafort Parish) 90 Alden Ave. Enfield, CT.
