Senior Pastor, Glen R. O’Keefe, 61, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr. Hartford, CT. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl J. (Westerbeck) O’Keefe. Glen was born on June 25, 1957 in Angola, Indiana, a son of the late Phillip & Amelia (Crame) O’Keefe and had resided in Enfield for many years. After High School he furthered his education and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Finance. Glen was the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Enfield for the past 9 years.
In addition to his wife Cheryl of 30 years, he is also survived by his two children Alyssa M. O’Keefe and Katie L. O’Keefe both of Enfield, a brother Phillip O’Keefe, Jr. & wife Maritess of Coconut Creek, FL, a sister Colleen Hendrix & husband Scott of Helena, AL, along with an aunt, several nieces, cousins and friends.
Glen’s family will receive relatives, members of the church congregation and friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow with Rev. George Heiland officiating at the First Baptist Church of Enfield. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial contributions in Glen’s name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Enfield, 253 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT 06082 or Springfield Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 9045 Springfield, MA 01102-9045.
