Obituary for Sharon Jean

Sharon (Rooney) Jean, 70, entered into the infinite mercy of Our Lord, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Sharon was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Silk) Rooney. She was born in Springfield, MA and resided in Enfield most of her life. She was the wife of Joseph Jean for forty-six years. Sharon was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church and formerly Holy Family Church. She was an active member of the Enfield Junior Women’s Club for years, where she developed many close friends. She was instrumental in developing a close bond of the Enfield Junior Women’s Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #50, serving our community in various charitable activities. She was kind, loving and generous to all who knew her. She was known for painting, sewing and crafting beautiful handmade gifts for friends and family. Sharon worked for the law offices of Joseph E. Fallon before her retirement. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Shawn Jean in 2017. Sharon is survived by her loving family, her husband, Joe, two sons, Scott Jean and his fiancé, Chantal Haracsy of South Windsor, CT Connor Jean of San Diego, CA, a daughter, Courtney Jean and her husband, Eric Kallberg of Madison, CT, a sister, Mary Tiroletto and her husband Joe of Enfield, four brothers, William Rooney and his wife Josie of Springfield, Tom Rooney and his wife Ellen of Enfield, Tim Rooney of North Granby, CT, Matt Rooney and his wife Brenda of Rotonda West, FL, three grandchildren, Brayden Jean, Teagan Jean, Kassandra Kallberg, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard’s Church of St. Jeanne Jugan Parish at 10:30 followed by burial in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.
