Sr. Mary Apollonia Niksa, 88, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Our Lady of the Angels convent, Enfield. She was born on August 3, 1932 in Janowo, Poland to the late John and Josephine (Sobocynski) Niksa. Sister Apollonia was also predeceased by three brothers. She was a member of the Felician Sisters Community for 71 years. Sister ministered at parishes staffed by the Felician Sisters in Providence, RI and Webster, MA from 1956 to 2013. Her ministry was baking her famous BABKA bread at Our Lady of the Angels convent. Private services for Sister Apollonia will be at the convent. Interment will take place in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield.
