Teresita Demate, 84, of Rocky Hill, CT, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Newington Rapid Recovery Rehab. Ctr, Newington, CT. Born on June 9, 1938 in San Isidro, Leyte, Philippines to the late Alfonso B. and Gloria R. (Lumapak) Demate. She had resided in Enfield, CT and Hernando, FL, before moving back to CT. Teresita received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines, and Master’s in Metallurgy at Steven’s University in Hoboken, NJ. Prior to retiring Teresita was employed with Kaman Aerospace, Bloomfield, CT.
Teresita is survived by her three loving sisters, Alicia D. Lopez of Zamboanga City, Philippines, Norma D. Palana of New York, and Imelda D. Veloso of Leyte, Philippines and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services for Teresita will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 calling hours from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Martha Church, Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of family in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery, Enfield, CT.
