Obituary for Thomas James Sirard

Thomas “Tom” James Sirard, of Enfield, passed from his earthly journey at the age of 53 on Friday, April 26, 2019. Husband of Amy-Beth (Morhardt) Sirard. Thomas was born on Oct. 8, 1965 in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Frederick and Estelle (Gauthier) Sirard. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Springfield. Tom then enlisted into the service and served his country honorably from 1987 to 1993 with the U.S. Navy on the USS Boston. A self-employed businessman, he was owner of A Call to Arms in Enfield. Tom was a member of the NRA, Republican Town Committee, Past Chairman of the Enfield Board of Education and very politically involved and giving to the community. He enjoyed cooking, but his greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his sons.
In addition to his wife, Amy-Beth, he is also survived by his two beloved sons, Eric Thomas Sirard and Ethan James Sirard, his brothers, Tim Sirard & wife Lisa and Frederick Sirard both of MA, along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred & Karen Morhardt.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 with a Funeral Home Service at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield for 1:30 p.m. Interment with military honors will then follow in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Sirard Children Educational Fund, C/O Webster Bank, Attn: Danielle Tise 50 Freshwater Blvd. Enfield, CT 06082.
