Obituary for Thomas Paul "Tom" Kelley

Thomas Paul Kelley, 93, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Monday Dec. 17, 2018 with loved ones at his side. He was the beloved husband of 58years to the late Marie (Lenon) Kelley (2008). Tom was born on July 15, 1925 in Lake Worth, FL, to the late Frank W. and Anna (Evans) Kelley and had resided in Enfield since Sept. 1966. He had a 24 plus year career with the military, 6 years with the U.S. Navy having served proudly during WW II, and retired in 1966 from the U.S. Air Force after 18 years. He then worked for Travelers, Ins. Co. of which he retired in 1986. Tom was a member of the DA.V., the John Maciolek Post # 154, American Legion, Enfield, and a member of the NRA, where he was also an instructor. In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling, square dancing and riding his Harley.
Tom is survived by his children; Thomas P. Kelley, Jr. of SC, Mary-Anna Simpson (Fred) of NY, Timothea “Timi” Ouellette (Rocky) of Enfield, Elinor Wooten of NC, Joseph H. Kelley (Kimberlee) of Somers, Carla Longo (Chris) of FL, Geri-Lynn Kelley of Ellington, Donna Rogers of GA and Sunniva Brown (Keith) of FL, his 28 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, and wife Marie, he was predeceased by an infant son, John H. Kelley, a daughter, Sandra K. May, a daughter-in-law, M. Angie Kelley and a son-in-law, L. Daniel Wooten and two brothers Franklin and Robert Kelley. The Kelley family would especially like to thank the Evergreen Rehab. Subacute & Therapy Dept. for the compassionate and wonderful during his time there.
His family will gather with relatives and friends on Friday December 21, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Church (St. Raymond of Penafort Parish), Enfield. Burial at the convenience of his family will be in the Massachusetts National Veteran’s Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
