Obituary for Valerie "Val" Ann Smith (Cousineau)
Valerie Ann (Cousineau) Smith, 56, of Springfield, MA, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 8th 2020 unexpectedly. Valerie was born on December 20th 1963 in Hartford, CT to the late Richard and Barbara (Rocheleau) Cousineau and resided in Enfield most of her life. Valerie graduated from Enfield H.S. and attended Three Rivers College, New London. Val had a great sense of humor and truly enjoyed life. She had the gift of writing and enjoyed it very much, but most importantly Val’s most notable quality was her love and dedication to her family.
Besides her companion of fourteen years Gino J. Rumore of Enfield. She is survived by her three children T.J. Smith of New London, CT, Ashley Smith of East Windsor and Chelsea Smith of East Hartford, her eight grandchildren Madison, Ava Arianna, Alexis, Isaiah, Luis, Jr., AmariLee and Jennilee. Valerie also leaves her brother Richard Jr. and his wife Sharon Cousineau of Enfield and her brother Jeffrey and his wife Katherine Cousineau of Westfield, MA. Valerie had many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at a later date. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Browne Memorial Chapels is assisting the family with arrangements.
