Wayne A. Kinney, 68, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. He was the beloved husband of 38 years to the late Lorraine E. (Corning) Kinney. Born March 1, 1954 in Hartford, CT to the late Garfield G. and Frances M. (Curtis) Kinney. He was a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S., Enfield and was a life-long resident. Prior to retirement in 2019, he had been employed with Hamilton Standard, FedEx, Smyth Bus Co. and the Enfield Fire Dept. He was a member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club and Enfield Fire Department. In his leisure time Wayne enjoyed riding his motorcycles, bicycling, volunteering with the Enfield Fire Dept. and spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by a daughter Donna Hamre & husband Joshua, and a son Joseph Kinney & wife Denise of Spartanburg, SC, his four beloved grandchildren Devin Robichard, Ashton Hamre, Sydney Hamre, and Bradley Hamre. He is also survived by his seven siblings; Douglas Kinney and his wife Debbie of Springfield, MA, Christine Evans of PA, Dennis Kinney and his wife Nicky of FL, Karen Hilenski and her husband George of FL, Richard Kinney and his wife Heidi of CT, Donald Kinney and his wife Carrie of CT and Brenda Kinney of CT, as well as many nieces nephews and other family.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Funeral home service will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 am followed by interment in the Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield.
