William Hanscomb, 88, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2021 in the comfort of his home with his loving daughter by his side. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Dorothy “Dottie” M. (Olisky) Hanscomb. Born in Plymouth, NH, a son of the late Walter and Charlotte (Hazelton), Hanscomb and was a longtime resident of Enfield. William served our country proudly with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and transferred to the Air Force National Guard where he was supply specialist until his retirement.
William was very proud of his grandchildren; faithfully watching them play travel, high school and college soccer.
William is survived by his loving daughter Donna M. and husband Thomas O’Grady, Esq. of Somers, seven grandchildren Ryan O’Grady (wife Julie), Adam O’Grady, Daniel O’Grady, Connor O’Grady, Jaclyn O’Grady, Christine Haake and Erik Haake and three great-grandchildren Lydia, Nolan and Claire O’Grady. He is also survived by a brother, Francis Hanscomb of Manchester, NH. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two daughters Deborah Haake and Cheryl Bertok. Services for William will be private.
