Obituary for William J Bourque

William (Bill) Joseph Bourque, 85, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 13, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Raymonde H. (O’Brady) Bourque. William was born on January 5, 1938, in Stafford Springs, CT to the late William J. Sr. and Estelle (Gauthier) Bourque. He had resided in Enfield for the past 86 years. Prior to retiring Bill was a machine repair technician for many years. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, history, but family spending time and caring for family was a priority. Bill Bourque lived and lead life with integrity. Bill was a member of the steel workers union.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters and two sons: Connie Carpe and husband Robert of East Windsor, Nancy Rhodes and husband Dan of Bellingham, MA, Joseph Bourque of Enfield, and Jonathan Bourque and wife Allison of Birmingham, AL, his eight beloved grandchildren, and three adored great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Shirley Hunt of Enfield, Nancy Lee of Enfield, Dick Bourque of Springhill, FL and Guy Bourque of West Springfield, MA, along with many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sisters, Doris, Della Nickerson and Julia Laflamme and a brother Mickey Bourque.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, A private graveside service will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield.
