Roxanne "Roxy" L.  Taylor
Roxanne “Roxy” L. Taylor, 55, of Enfield, passed peacefully from her earthly journey, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday (April 23, 2012) with her loving family at her side in the comfort of her home. Roxanne was born on Jan. 16, 1957 in Hartford, CT, daughter of Catherine “Katie “ M. (Romano) Taylor and the late Bruce C. Taylor and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Roxy’s life was devoted to caring for her family and home. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed writing, especially poems, trips to the casinos and movies of all types, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family who were the center of her life.
Roxy is survived by her loving partner of 25 years Carol A. Landry, her beloved mother Katie Taylor, two loving children David J. Taylor and Kristina Taylor, the pride and joy of her life two grandchildren Madison A. Merciers and Miley A. Addison all of Enfield, her loving siblings Gary A. Taylor and his companion Sally Rinaldi of Riverton, Beverly (Taylor) Lanouette and her companion Ron Warner of Enfield and Timothy Taylor of Bristol. Also several loving nieces and nephews, two very close friends Leslie Burkhart and Wendy Riggs Lyons along with many other dear friends. Besides her father she was predeceased by maternal grandparents John & Jenny Romano and paternal grandparents Fred and Lena Taylor. Roxy’s family would like to thank the staff of North Central Hospice especially Lisa Albert for their considerate and compassionate care and support.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Saturday (April 28, 2012) from 3 to 5 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 5 pm with Wendy Lyons officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Roxy’s memory may be made to the North Central Hospice, 8 Keynote Dr., Vernon, CT 06066.
