Obituary for Ralph E. Jordan

Ralph  E.  Jordan
Ralph E. Jordan, of Enfield entered into eternal life at the age of 83 on Wednesday (February 20, 21013) at Chilton Hospital, Pequannock, NJ. Ralph was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Joan Marie (Michaud) Jordan and son of the late Howard F. and Clara I. (Walton) Jordan. He was born on February 26, 1929 in Attleboro, MA and had resided in Enfield for 56 years. Ralph was a graduate of South Attleboro High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement Ralph was employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 36 years. A devout Catholic, he was a daily communicant and defender of his faith, and a member of St. Patrick’s Church. Ralph was very involved with various ministries and committees with St. Patrick’s, he was also a member of Share the Word, Home Front, faithfully attended Pro-Life marches for over 25 years and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his three children; Michael F. Jordan and his wife, Germaine of W. Milford, NJ, Sandra Coughlin and husband John of Emmitsburg, MD and James Jordan of Enfield, his 16 beloved grandchildren; Kathleen, Therese, Maria, Elizabeth, Clare & Stephen Jordan, Stephanie, John, Kevin, Aileen, Gabrielle, Hannah, Liam, Catriona, Kolbe & Therese Coughlin and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister; Kay Stoltz of Wallingford, CT, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends may gather with Ralph’s family during calling hours on Sunday (February 24, 2013) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield.
Funeral services will take place on Monday (February 25, 2013) with the funeral procession forming at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Patrick Church for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery, Agawam, MA. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St. Enfield, CT 06082.
