Mark William Whidtfeldt, passed from his earthly journey at the age of 43, unexpectedly on Wednesday, November, 12, 2014. He was born on September 23, 1971 in Hartford, CT, the son of George W. Whidtfeldt, Jr. and Rebecca A. Shaw. Mark attended Enfield public school and then went on to graduate from East Hartford High School. Mark attended The New England Tracker Trailer Training School (NETTTS) for his CDL license at the age of 18. Mark was employed as a trainer for CR England and US Xpress Enterprises. He was employed as a foreman with Asplundh Tree Service for several years, taking down trees and limbs as well as training workers to be safe around electrical wiring. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved riding, music, concerts, music mixer, was a creative cook, loved boating, fishing, among many other things.
He is survived by his parents George W.Whidtfeldt, Jr., Rebecca A. Shaw, and brother Troy Whidtfeldt, three sons: Joshua Fitschen, Tyler Whidtfeldt, Kyle Whidtfeldt of WA, and three granddaughters, Evelyn, Alainia, and Lily of IL. He is also survived by his aunts and uncle, Joan Ackerman, Brian Shaw, Deborah Mason, Mrs.Valerie Giberson, many loving cousins, friends, and companion Lexi Regan. Mark was an amazing man with a heart of gold. He never hesitated to help anyone and was known for the way he was always quick to help those in need. His humor, laughter, smile, and eyes will be deeply missed. Mark’s soul will live on with all of us forever. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents George Sr. and Annamay Whidtfeldt, maternal grandparents James Shaw and Lois Shaw Antworth.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday November 21, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, CT.
