Donna Jean (Niehaus) Kuntz, 78, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at The Suffield House. She was the beloved wife of 51 years to the late David Alan Kuntz. Donna was born on Dec. 12, 1938 in Pittsburg, PA to the late John and Eleanor (Murray) Niehaus. She was a graduate of Perry H.S. Penn Hills, PA. Donna had resided in Enfield for the past 8 years and in Syracuse, NY for 32 years. Prior to retiring she was a Workers Compensation Claims Adjustor with Peerless Insurance Co. Syracuse, NY after 25 years of service. Donna was a member of the Home Bureau, Boy & Girl Scouts of America and the Enfield Senior Center. Donna was an animal lover who cherished her cat, “Momma Cat”, and her dogs, Thor and Mauduce. She loved, The Phantom of the Opera, The Red Shoes, All Than Jazz, & A Chorus Line. Her passion was dancing and theatre but loved good ole rock & roll like Queen, Pink Floyd and her all-time favorite song was Kashmir by Led Zepplin. She was always dressed to the T’s and always wore her favorite color purple.
Donna is survived by her two children; David Scott Kuntz & wife Laura of Shaker Heights, OH and Krista Kuntz & Michael Philbrick of Enfield, CT, her four cherished grandchildren; Alexander & Elizabeth Kuntz and Marty & Tallulah Philbrick, a sister Karen Lizarraga of San Diego, CA,
Her family will receive friends on Thursday Nov. 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
