Obituary for Waltella Agnes Poppers (Sullivan)

Waltella  Agnes  Poppers (Sullivan)
Waltella Anges Poppers, 80, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday March 8, 2018, at Baystate Medical Ctr. Springfield, MA. She was born on August 21, 1937 in Enfield, CT to the late Edward and Filomena (Olechny) Sullivan and was a life-long resident. Before retiring Waltella was employed with Riverside Park and the Journal Inquirer. In her leisure time she enjoyed walking, delivering newspapers, time spent at the Felician Adult Day Center, but mostly spending time with family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Waltella is survived by a son, Michael Poppers, Jr. & wife Kerry of Paxton, MA and a daughter, Mary Poppers of Enfield, her three beloved grandchildren, Filomena Huppe, Keith Huppe and Harrison Poppers, her two cherished great-grandchildren, Jace Hancock and Christian Wojnilo.
She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Nelson, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister Edwina Krasa and a brother Joseph “Butch” Sullivan.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Monday March 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a funeral home service at 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Holy Cross Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Enfield Loaves and Fishes, P.O. Box 544, Enfeld, CT 06083-0544.
