Rudolph C.  Chamberlain
Rudolph “Rudy” C. Chamberlain, 84, of Windsor Locks and formerly of Enfield, entered peacefully into Eternal Life on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Eleanor (Trapanese) Chamberlain. Rudolph was born April 12, 1934 in Springfield, MA to the late Rudolph and Alice (Dube) Chamberlain and resided in Enfield most of his life. Rudy served his country proudly with the U.S. Army. Rudy received a Bachelors of Science degree from A.I.C. and worked as a Chemist retiring from Westfield Coatings after 34 years. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the Executive Board of the Holy Family Retreat League in West Hartford. Rudy served on the Executive Board and was former President of Warm Thy Neighbor Fuel Bank in Enfield where he touched many lives and had a lasting impact on the well being of many people in need.
In addition to his wife, Eleanor he is survived by his two children, Donna Carnelli & husband Edward of Vernon, and Mark Chamberlain & wife Donna of Suffield, his two beloved granddaughters, Kara Chamberlain and Kristi Chamberlain. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Chamberlain & wife Theresa of Mandeville, LA, a sister-in-law, Henrietta Trapanese, and brother-in-law, Humbert Trapanese, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law, William Trapanese, Charles Trapanese and Sam Trapanese & wife Nancy, sisters-in-law, Norma Trapanese, Florence Trapanese and Mary Trapanese.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Sunday July 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral Services will take place on Monday July 30, 2018 with the procession forming at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to St. Patrick Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Enfield EMS, 1296 Enfield Street Enfield, CT 06082 or the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Corp., 401 Spring Street Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
