Antoinette (Gabriel) Lambert, of Enfield entered into eternal life at the age 92 on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She was the widow of Sylvio H. Lambert who predeceased her in Oct. of 1970 and the daughter of the late Eugene R. and Florida (Gour) Gabriel. Antoinette was born on May 5, 1918 in Montreal, Canada and had resided in Enfield for the past 18 years and in Woonsocket, RI prior to that. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with family especially her loving grandchildren. Antoinette leaves many fond memories for her family to cherish. She is survived by her beloved son Deacon Robert Lambert and his wife Ellen of Enfield, her loving three grandchildren and their families Paul Lambert of Granby, John Lambert of Enfield and Susan (Lambert) Sullivan of Enfield and 16 beloved great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild, her two sisters Florence Warzybok of N. Smithfield, RI and Gertrude Skehan of Freehold, NJ along with many nieces and nephews. Antoinette was also predeceased by two sisters Pauline Bonin and Regina Berube and a brother Henry Gabriel. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Friday (Dec. 3, 2010) from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Residence 1365 Enfield St. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (Dec. 4, 2010) at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Chapel. Interment will take place on Monday (Dec. 6, 2010) in St. John the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the St. Joseph’s Residence/Little Sisters of the Poor 1365 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
