Stefania “Stella” Josepha (Typrowicz) Pohorylo, 99, of Enfield died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. She was born on March 11, 1916 in Chicopee Falls, MA, daughter of Francis and Aniela (Korona) Typrowicz. The family moved to Thompsonville in 1929. She worked at Bigelow Sanford Carpet, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Wendy’s. Stella was a lifelong parishioner of St. Adalbert’s Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank “Jimmy Martin”, and brothers Joseph and wife Genevieve, and Max and wife Stella.
She leaves behind her sister Sophie Wilczak of Suffield, and her family Michael Wilczak of Enfield, Arthur Wilczak of Feeding Hills, MA and Marianne Tittarelli and husband Gaetano of Suffield, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday (June 29, 2015) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Interment will take place in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Adalbert’s Church 64 Pearl Street Enfield, CT 06082.
