Daniel "Dan" James  Post
Daniel James Post, of Enfield, husband of Kristen (Chadderton) Post, entered into eternal rest on Monday (May 5, 2014). Dan was born on September 28, 1970 in Englewood, NJ, son of Edmund Post of Enfield and Beth (Houston) Dragon of Rochester, NY. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield and was a graduate of Enrico Fermi High School he also attended Springfield Technical Community College (STCC). Dan was a contractor for over 20years and was employed with Woodbury Supply Company, Inc.
He was very involved with his community as a father he volunteered at the children’s school, St. Bernard’s in many roles, including bingos, dances and school trips. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church. Dan never wanted to leave Enfield choosing to remain with cherished friends in his community, where he devoted many hours to others. Dan served as a Constable with the Town of Enfield. He was also a director on the Enfield 4th of July Town Celebration Committee for over 18 years and co-chairman for 2 years. Dan’s love was always family.
Along with his loving wife, Kristen and his parents Dan is survived by his beautiful children; Isabella, Lillian, Kamryn and Madison, his brother Mathew Post & wife Elizabeth of Enfield, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his 1st wife Norma (Dodd) Post, sister Judith Post and father-in-law Robert Chadderton.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Thursday (May 8, 2014) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (May 9, 2014) at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield (please go directly to the church). Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in Dan’s memory may be made to the Post Children Educational Fund.
