Condolence: I was so sad when my Mom called to say that Don had passed away. So many memories of that man from my childhood...and adulthood! All good. When I moved back to 2 Sky Street, I'd walk to my parents house at 20 Sky and stop and talk with Don. He gave me some of that hearty green bush (can't think of the name) which I planted all around my house. I gave some to my parents which still flurishes outside their back door...and I have some around my and my husbands house in Putnam, CT...and this Spring I will be giving some to a friend who lived in Glocester, RI! Condolence: Ron, Don and family,
We are very saddened by your father's passing, and wish we could be there for the services, but we are traveling through Sunday. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. I mentioned to Betsey that "another neighborhood icon has passed away." That's the way I remember your Dad . . . a stone pillar of the family and neighborhood who always had time for that geeky kid (me) from down the street. He will rest in peace with our fond memories.
