Condolence: Rest in peace Mr. Schienda. I have nothing but fond memories of the fun, laughter, and joy Chet showed to us every time we had the occasion to be together. He is a good lifelong friend to my parents and for that we were blessed. You will be missed but not forgotten.

we enjoyed teaching JFK saturday afternoon basketball together as well as playing in the evening adult program where Chet got to be dubbed as 'chet the jet' for his vigorous rebounding, we enjoyed golf and dining together frequently, going to NYC bus trip to radio city. we collaborated coaching little league together

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you! Chet was always a kind, friendly person with a great sense of humor and always knew how to make us laugh. I recall many times watching hockey games with him as he cheered on his grandchildren and other players. Also,fond memories of his "magic finger trick".... You will never be forgotten, and now you are at peace and with your beautiful bride!

Condolence: Dear Schienda family, With deepest sympathies to all of your entire family for the loss of a wonderful and fun-loving man, Chet. I know My whole family loved him like an Uncle, and we had many wonderful memories with him at JFK basketball and Fermi Hockey. In fact, growing up I know he purposely didn't blow the whistle while he was a referee in many of my hoop games because I was "The Midge" (aka the midget of the Cotnoir family) - as I often had to shove folks around to get a rebound. For this, I am eternally grateful! We has such a wonderful childhood with The entire Schienda family at our house for parties and I still remember Chet's famous finger trick. He was an amazing guy, and I know he was a super family man and sports lover. His passion may have been sports, but his love was his wife, children, Grandchildren, and entire family. We will miss Chet a lot... as he was on of the best..who always made us smile, laugh, and think how precious life can be if you love your family, as much as he did. Take care Chet, and keep making them laugh! You will always be in our hearts within The Cotnoir family.

Condolence: I extend my sympathy to Chet's family. I worked with him at Hamilton Standard during the 1980's. He was a very talented Quality Engineer and a good friend. He will be missed.
