To the Schulthess family, John was my closest, dearest friend. We shared many of life’s ups and downs together- laughter, joy, fear and sadness. We traveled through life’s journey alongside each other asking many questions. He filled my heart with much laughter, loyalty and love. We could always count on each other’s friendship to be there. Today, a piece of my heart is broken and filled with immeasurable sadness. To know John was not a coincidence, it was a gift from God. For this I am grateful. To all who knew and shared in John’s company, please know that you meant a lot to him. Through his stories, I feel I know many of you, even though we have never met.
