Dear Judy -- only now, nearly two months later, did I learn of Paul's passing -- it shows me how changing circumstances, the passing of time and sheer distance can put you out of touch with old friends -- in fact it was only a random thought I had earlier today that caused me to wonder how he was, to find out and perhaps give him a call -- but as I looked for him on the internet, as quickly as that, and not expecting it, I came upon the unfortunate information - - after all these years, last Fall Jean and I were driving around Jamestown on our way to Newport and I brought up a recollection of your wedding, which we attended and enjoyed, especially in getting to know you a bit -- now we just want to extend our belated but sincere sympathy at his passing and your loss -- Jack Nicholson, Auburn, Mass
