Joan (Goodroe) Cook, 67 of Enfield entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2006 in Enfield surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 6, 1938 in St. Albans, VT the daughter of the late Fred and Blanche (Lacky) Goodroe, and had resided in Enfield for many years.
Joan was formerly employed by Carlin Burner Manufacturing for many years. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, her life revolved around her family. Joan is survived by her four children; Timothy Cook & his wife Valerie of KY, Danny Cook, Albert Cook Jr. & his wife Michelle, Melissa Price & her husband Dave and daughter-in-law Mary F. Cook all of Enfield. Joan also leaves 18 beloved grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Cook Sr. in 1996, a son Michael Cook Sr. in 2005, two brothers Cortis and Otis Goodroe, and a sister Julie Dufresne.
Funeral services in celebration of Joan's life will be held on Friday March 3, 2006, 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield with Fr. Derek Gosciniak officiating. The Cook family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service 9:00 – 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
