Obituary for Alfred T. Pappagallo

Alfred T. Pappagallo, Sr. 80 of Enfield passed away on Aug. 10, 2005 at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare. He was born in Hartford, CT on Nov. 3, 1924 to the late Arthur and Eva (Dupont) Pappagallo. Al served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy during WW II and was part of the D-Day Invasion off Omaha Beach. During his lifetime he was involved in various endeavors, including several years in the merchant marines, restaurant owner, teamster and heavy equipment operator, following his retirement Al pursued his two passions thoroughbred racing (both spectator and owner) and his Friday night poker game. In addition to his wife Leone "Lee” (Harmon) Pappagallo Al is survived by his children Debra & Harry Hartman, Marie & Joe Boisvert both of Interlachen, FL and Alfred Pappagallo, Jr. & his fiancé Michele Rubac of Enfield, his stepchildren, Lori & Herman Nason of Houlton, ME and Eric Rivers & his fiancée Shelly Renaud of Barre, MA seven grandchildren, Christopher, Brenda, Barry William, Michel, Angela and Michelle and two step-grandsons, James and Adam a great grandson, Caleb and step great granddaughter, Emily. His brothers, and sisters in law, Michael & Pat of Enfield Theodore & Judy of Norwich, Jeanette of Cromwell and Elaine Harmon of Willimantic as well as several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his son, Arthur R. and a brother, Arthur and a sister, Theodora. At Al's request there are no calling hours and funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
