William A. “Hose-1” Strumpfler, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, at the age of 84, on Monday March 17, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 9, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Albert L. and Anna (Torma) Strumpfler and had resided in Enfield for over 50 years. William served his country proudly with the U.S. Army.
A self-employed businessman he owned and operated Hose and Rubber Co. for many years.
He was very active in scouting and was an assistant scout master with Troop 888, in his leisure time he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, his dogs, feeding & watching birds, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
William is survived by his five beloved children and their families including nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, his “baby” sister Lyn Tyler and brother-in-law Al Tyler, his sister-in-law Dolores Strumpfler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of his family.
