Gladys R. (Gale) Wright, 96 of Suffield and formerly of Hamden entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 26, 2006 in Enfield. Gladys was the widow of Donovan L. Wright. She was born on Sept. 23, 1909 in Hamden, CT daughter of the late Burton and Edith (Wedmore) Gale and had resided in Hamden most of her life and in Suffield for the past 6 years. Gladys was an 80 year member of Whitneyville Congregational United Church of Christ and a 50 year Eastern Star, Alice Chapter member. She loved gardening and growing violets, but most of all she especially loved time spent with her family. She is survived by her loving family, two sons and daughters in law; Leroy & Ellen Wright of Enfield, and George & Brenda Wright of Lincoln, Nebraska, her five beloved grandchildren; Charles Wright, Timothy Wright, Priscilla Rancourt, Darren Wright and Jason Wright, nine great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers; George and Burton Gale. Funeral Services in celebration of Glady's life will be held on Sat. Aug. 12, 2006 at 11:30am in the Whitneyville Congregational United Church of Christ, Hamden. Interment will follow in the Whitneyville Cemetery. Glady's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Aug. 11, 2006 from 7 to 9pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT.
