Obituary

John “Jack” P. Sullivan, 86, of Windsor Locks, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Vivian (Viens) Sullivan, and son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Tuohey) Sullivan. Jack was born on January 17, 1934 in Fairlawn, NJ. He had resided in Windsor Locks for the past 2 years and prior to that in Fairlawn, NJ, Cumberland, RI, Ridgefield, CT, Manasquan, NJ and Hutchinson Island, FL. Jack received his Bachelors of Arts from Saint Peters College. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army. Jack retired after 45 years of service as a sales manager. He was an avid reader and golfer, enjoyed tennis and sailing, an avid Red Sox, N.E. Patriots and Boston Bruins fan and he loved traveling to many exotic locations with his beloved spouse.
Besides his wife, Vivian, he also is survived by his children, Sean Sullivan & spouse Susan of Ellington, CT, Hilary Magnoni & spouse Tiziana of Bébange, Belgium and Daniel Sullivan & spouse Lisa of Brentwood, TN, 14 grandchildren; Kyle Sullivan, Heather Levasseur, Steven Sullivan, Bethany Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, Michael Lambert, William Lambert, Amy Plifka, Katherine Lambert, Grace Sullivan, Jack Sullivan, Alex Iovine, Mark Iovine & Julianna Iovine, and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Mary Sisti and a brother Lawrence Sullivan.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stonebrook Village for the incredible care provided to Jack. Services for Jack at this time will be private at the convenience of the family. Due to the public health crisis and social distancing a Mass celebrating his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant House, 550 10th Ave. New York, NY 10018, Jack’s favorite charity. To extend condolences to his family messages may be left on the funeral home website at www.brownememorialchapels.com.
