Lillian G.  Liro
Lillian G. (Gebo) Liro, 83 of Enfield, widow of Henry Liro, entered peacefully into eternal life on Tues Nov. 14, 2006 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 9, 1923 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield a daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Zimmerman) Gebo and was a lifelong resident of Enfield.
Prior to her retirement in 1994 Lillian was employed by Lego Systems, Inc, Enfield for 16 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Lillian also enjoyed the company of friends at Mark Twain Enriched Living Center. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt her life emphasis always revolved and gravitated around her family of which she leaves many cherished and fond memories. Lillian is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Ragion and her husband, David of Enfield, her two beloved grandchildren, Danielle Ragion and Kevin Ragion and his fiancée, Lisa Romaniello. She also leaves her brother, Arthur Gebo of Enfield, a very special niece, Donna McCue and a nephew, Charles Organ along with many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lena, Leo & Paul Gebo and Grace Wotka.
Funeral services in celebration of Lillian's life will be held on Saturday November 18, 2006 at 8:30am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Adalbert's Church. Interment will take place in St. Adalbert's Cemetery Enfield. Lillian's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Nov. 17, from 4 to 8pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff on Floor 7-2 & Hospice at St. Francis Hospital for the loving care and attention she received and request that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center's Hospice Program114 Woodland St. Hartford, CT 06106 in her memory.
