Maria A. (Negro) Apostolico, 83, of Enfield widow of Nunzio Apostolico entered into eternal life on Sunday Sept. 3, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was born on July 28, 1923 in San Clemente Caserata, Italy daughter of the late Biaggio and Anastasia (Ianniello) Negro and had resided in Enfield for over 50 years. Prior to retiring many years ago Maria was employed for 20 years with the former Montgomery Co., Windsor Locks. A member of St. Adalbert's Church, Enfield, she enjoyed her home, gardening, cooking and time spent with family. Maria is survived by her loving family, a daughter; Victoria Rose and her husband, John of Enfield, a son; Stephen Apostolico of FL, two beloved granddaughters; Ashley & Elaine Rose, a brother; Giacomo Negro and his wife, Gemma of Italy, a sister-in-law; Frances Apostolico of Enfield along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also predeceased by two sisters; Carolina and Mafalda Ricciardi. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Maria's life will be held on Wednesday Sept. 6, 2006 at 11:00am in St. Adalbert's Church, Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery. Maria's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday morning prior to the Mass from 9:30 – 10:30am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield.
