Shirley M. Pappas, of Enfield, widow of John G. Pappas, passed from this life, on Wednesday March 5, 2008 at Manchester Hospital, Manchester. Shirley retired from Aetna Life and Casualty after many years of service. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, she also enjoyed working the tag sales that were held for the Little Sisters of the Poor. Shirley is survived by a sister, Gwen Kehoe of South Windsor and many nieces and nephews, she is also survived by her "Pot Luck Sisters" Mary Ivanisin, Toni Kweder, Laurie Flower and Cindy Lyman all of Enfield. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two daughters, Barbara E. Pappas and Deborah J. Pappas, her brothers Bernard Barney, Robert Cramer, and Clifford Cramer, her sisters, Doris Caye and Norma Peterson. Funeral services for Shirley will be held on Saturday March 8, 2008 at 10:00am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment will take place in the Enfield Street Cemetery. Family and friends may gather prior to the service on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00am. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis 185 Silas Deane Hwy.
