The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Killeen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Mary Ellen and family,

John was one of my favorite people ever. My best memories of John were when Pam and I made our Christmas Eve visits. At some point during the evening, Mary Ellen and Pam ended up entertaining themselves because John and I got into our deep discussions about business and other very important issues of the day. We didn't always agree; rather, we rarely agreed, but we enjoyed the give and take. John was one of the best and my life is richer for having had the privilege of knowing him.

Condolence: Johnnie K - You will be missed, especially from those who worked with you!! You were my mentor when I first started in government, and you taught me a lot!! You tried to stay above the fray and do your job..........and you did it very, very well!! I will always remember your great laugh; your intelligence; your honesty (I always loved that!!), and your friendship!! You are now at peace but man, do you leave a huge hole for all of us left behind. So glad I hugged you the last time I was back in CT. Mary Ellen and Family - We have lost a great one!! Condolence: Mary Ellen:

Mom just called and told me the news. I am so sorry for your loss. I always loved when you two were coming to visit because I knew I would be in for a lot of goods times and a lot of laughs. Your family is in my thoughts and my prayers. I am always here for you.

"May the road rise to meet you;
May the wind be always at your back;
May the sunshine warm your face,
and the rains fall soft upon your fields;
and until we meet again.....
may God hold you in the palm of his hand."

Much love to all of you!

Eileen
