Sandys's wonderful mom

Dear Sandy and family,

"I remember she made the best italian meatball soup in the world."

And, eating at the Sferrazza house, when I was in my twenties, the 70s' and 80s', hanging out with Sandy, it was like eating in the Oval office, 27 entries, then you eat again.

She also said to me, "If you ever date a man, and plan to marry him, make sure he likes you better than you like him."

I would love to make it to the funeral, but I had knee surgery today at Bristol Hospital, and I am layed up for a week or so.

But, my prayers are with you. And I think about you and your "great family, often."
